Availability on our final Fish Preparation workshop…

** Friday 10th November – now fully booked**

Our hugely popular fish workshops have been running every month for the last 3 years, but as we are now so busy in the shop, we had to make the difficult decision to stop delivering them

We have been persuaded to a final date, and have availability on Friday 10th November. The cost is £60.00 per person, and you will learn to fillet 4-5 different types of fish – and get to take everything you prepare home to enjoy over the weekend. We talk you through recipe ideas and help you broaden your repertoire by introducing you to some of the fish you may not have tasted before

The evening starts at 6:30pm and finishes at between 9-9:30pm. Places can be booked by calling us on 01276 66618

Celebrating August Bank Holiday Weekend…..

We’re really looking forward to Bank Holiday weekend, as #Teamfish will heading to Cornwall to support Newlyn Fish Festival. We’ll be meeting up with some of our Newlyn Fishermen and working hard at the festival on Monday setting up the ultimate fish display and helping to raise funds for The Fishermen’s Mission

If you do find yourself anywhere near Newlyn on Bank Holiday Monday, make sure you visit the festival and come and say hello – its an amazing day out!

We’ll be open as usual on Saturday from 7:30am until 4pm, so if you’re looking for some delicious seafood to celebrate your Bank Holiday weekend, its a good idea to get in touch and we can take your order over the phone – 01276 66618

The weather’s looking relatively good, so we’ll have lots of our popular kebabs available. You can check out our Barbecue Selection here


We’ll have a great selection of freshly prepared marinated kebabs available for the weekend – it’s looking likely we’ll see at least a little peek of sunshine

Our Barbecue platters are really popular – a selection of ‘mini kebabs’, fish steaks and marinated sardine fillets make them ideal if you want a great selection of tasty seafood

For shellfish lovers, our extra large crabs out of Devon have been amazing this week, beautifully cooked (of course, we cook them!), and really full. And Andrew’s managed to pull in quite a few of his Newlyn Lobsters – we’re heading towards the end of the season, so if you’re a lobster-lover, now is a great time to fill your boots before the supply runs low

Just out the pot, Andrew’s lobsters will be on the counter again this weekend – make the most of them while the season lasts…

Meet Adam, our crab supplier! The only reason I buy my crabs from Adam is because his products are exceptional, honest…

So, add in all sorts of other super-fabulous deliciousness like our Cornish Sardines, super chunky Plaice, beautiful thick Monkfish, lovely sparkly Red Mullet, Wild Brighton Bass, extra large Scottish Razors… and we’re going to be well stocked for what is already looking to be one of our busiest weeks of the year.

Oh, and don’t forget… all of our fish and shellfish is so beautifully fresh, that anything you buy from us on Saturday will still be absolutely perfect, kept in your fridge, to enjoy on Monday,

Early August, a perfect time for seafood lovers…

It may be feeling slightly autumnal, but the great British summertime is always superb for seafood

We always know it’s the height of summer (even if it doesn’t feel like it) when the Cornish Sardines start to show up. These sparkly jewels arrive off the Cornish coast at the beginning of August every year and stay with us until early February. Available as whole fish, butterfly fillets or marinated in a delicious Piri Piri dressing they are one of our absolute favourite seasonal treats

We’ve also got a few weeks left of the Cornish Lobster season and Andrew’s pots are at their fullest at this time of year. Because we take his total catch there’s a great range of sizes and prices available. They’re all delivered into us live, and we freshly cook them throughout the day, so they’re always sweet and extra delicious.

Plaice have really fattened up and are super plump, and the famous #AjaxHake is spectacular at the moment  Alan’s short trips mean his fish is super fresh and firm and a real favourite with our customers

And finally, if you’re braving the showers and firing up the barbecue we’ve got a superb range of ready prepared and marinated seafood available.

As ever, it’s always a good idea to ring up and place your order as we do tend to sell out quite early over the weekend

Friday Fundraising for The Mission

This Friday, 7th July, is the annual fundraising event for a very special charity – The Fishermen’s Mission

The Mission supports fishermen and their families in times of distress, hardship and need.

We have supported the ‘Mission’ for many years, helping to raise awareness and funds for this very relevant and worthwhile charity. Over the years we’ve managed to raise several thousand pounds, and since we opened our shop in 2015 many of you have been so very generous with your donations into our Albert and your support with our fundraising events.

On Friday, we’re going to be joining in with Fishmongers, FishFryers and Restaurants across the country, who’s only aim is to try to help in any way we can

If you’re popping into the shop over Friday and Saturday, we’ll have our collection boxes available and we will personally match every £1 donated.  We are also running a raffle if you’d like to buy tickets. £1 per strip and the winning ticket will enjoy one of our beautiful, bespoke seafood platters up to the value of £75, made to order anytime between now and December 31st.

Our opening day – 4th December 2015, Albert joined us for the day although to be honest, he didn’t get much work done!

We hope you can join us over the weekend and help to make a real difference to the lives of many fishermen and their families who tragically find themselves in dire need of support.

Many of you have already met Andrew, who supplies all our superb lobsters and spider crab meat, but for this very special visit he will be joined by Alan, skipper of the #Ajax and renowned Hake Hunter and Mike, a brilliant blogger and ambassador for the fishing industry


They’ll be in the shop to meet and greet customers from 10:30am until around 4pm. You’ll be able to tell them how much you enjoy their catch, and ask any questions you have about what they do, life at sea and fish in general  it’s a fantastic opportunity to get to know the men who brave the elements to put the food on our tables

Just for us, 100% of Andrew’s catch makes its way to Camberley – how lucky are we!!

We’re ready for another busy weekend..

Fish was a little short at the start of the week, due to some pretty windy weather off the coast, but now it seems that anything that floats is out on the water catching fish


New to us this week is our fresh, handpicked Cornish Spider Crab Meat. Cornish Spiders are just coming into season, and Andrew, our lobster fisherman, has been hauling them in. He came up with the innovative idea of sending them off to a crab processing company to have them cooked and picked and we’ve got the results of his forward-thinking ‘first to market’ idea in the shop this weekend.

Andrew’s also been busy hauling lobster pots and has sent up lots of his Native Cornish Lobsters, so we’re pretty well stocked on Live, Freshly Cooked and Dressed if you fancy a real treat…

And, with the sun peeking out a bit, and temperatures a little higher than the first few days of May, we’ve stocked up on all our pre-prepared barbecue products.

Heading towards Easter and the #Fishiest Friday of the year…

Good Friday is traditionally one of the busiest days of the year for fishmongers, and this year we’re lucky that tides and weather seem to be on our side, so fish should be plentiful

Andrew’s also out on the water again hard at work, pulling his pots to bring us more of his exceptional Cornish Lobsters. We should also have some of his pollack, rays and hopefully one or two monk

Line caught bass are back, after being off the menu for a couple of months, and we’re seeing the first of the season’s wild black bream. Flat fish are all looking good, and we had our first few plaice back on our counter last week, they’ve fattened up nicely after their ‘lean months’.


If you fancy fish, but are just too busy to prepare anything after a hard day, we’ve got lots of freshly prepared ideas to make your meal really easy.

One of our most popular dishes is our fish pies – they always go down a treat. Don’t forget we can make these for you in your own dishes – they are bespoke, so you can decide exactly what you’d like in your pie – extra smoked haddock, a few prawns… it’s your choice.  Dishes for Good Friday need to be brought in by Thursday morning, so that we can get them all ready and prepared for Friday collection

We’ll be open all week as usual, with slightly shorter hours on Good Friday – 8am – 3pm, and as we’re likely to be super-busy, its always a good idea to place an order if you know you’d like something specific – 01276 66618. It’s going to be a spring time scorcher…

We’ve been reliably informed that there will be sunshine over Camberley on and off for the next few days, so we’ve been working our socks off this morning to get everything ready for those impromptu barbecues


Although Friday and Saturday aren’t looking particularly great, today and Sunday look like the perfect excuse to light the fires and indulge in a little alfresco dining





We’ve brought back some of last year’s favourites, but there’s also some new and exciting products available.

And if the weather doesn’t deliver, everything can be cooked in the oven or under the grill.

Spring has arrived, and so have the Natives…

Its still a little early to get too excited, but Andrew has just hauled a few of his well-placed, well-baited lobster pots and they were full of lovely, plump, lively Cornish Lobsters.

So, whether you’re looking for a special treat for your mum, or a little bit of something tasty to celebrate spring, we’ve got lots of fabulous shellfish heading our way

Andrew’s lobsters are on the road from Newlyn and will be with us first thing on Friday morning. We’ll have the lobster pot ready and waiting , so if you’re not comfortable cooking them yourself we’ll have freshly boiled and fully prepared available too

If lobster’s not your thing, we’ve also got load of our stunning extra-large Devon crabs on their way and again, these will also be heading for the pot nice and early, we can even offer mayalsian food recipes. We did sell out last week, so its always a good idea to reserve yours if you know you’d like one
