Produced by the award-winning smokers at Moxon's, every fillet is carefully prepared to ensure the natural character of the fish remains the star of the show.

Delicious enjoyed hot or cold, smoked mackerel is one of the most versatile products in the fishmonger's repertoire. It's equally at home on a salad platter, folded through pasta, flaked into a fishcake mixture or simply enjoyed with crusty bread and a squeeze of lemon.

Mackerel is one of Britain's most popular oily fish and has been enjoyed around our coastline for centuries.

Its naturally rich flesh makes it ideal for smoking, as the oils help carry and develop flavour throughout the fish during the smoking process. It's one of the reasons smoked mackerel has remained a fishmonger's favourite for generations.

Some combinations are simply meant to be.

Delicious served cold with a crisp salad, crusty bread and a wedge of lemon.

For something a little more substantial, gently warm the fillets and serve alongside buttery baby potatoes with fresh dill and seasonal vegetables. They're also fantastic flaked into pasta dishes, fishcakes, quiches and salads, or blended into a pâté with cream cheese, horseradish and a squeeze of lemon.
