Sesame Coated Tuna Steaks

One of the most popular products in our sushi and sashimi range and for good reason.

Prepared using sashimi-grade Yellowfin Tuna and coated in sesame seeds, these steaks are incredibly versatile. They can be enjoyed exactly as they are, sliced thinly and dipped into a little soy sauce, or lightly cooked to create something truly special.

The contrast between the cool, rare tuna and the toasted sesame crust is absolutely delicious and makes this one of our favourite ways to enjoy tuna at home.

If you're looking for an easy introduction to sashimi-grade fish, this is a great place to start.

Simple, delicious and guaranteed to impress.

Although this product is perfectly safe to eat without cooking, we think it's at its absolute best when lightly seared.

Simply heat a little oil in a frying pan until very hot, then sear the tuna for around 20-30 seconds on each side. The aim isn't to cook the tuna through — it's simply to toast the sesame seeds and create a beautiful crust around the outside.

Allow to rest for a minute, then slice thinly across the grain.

Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, pickled ginger or our homemade dipping sauce.

It's also fantastic tucked into tacos, served over rice or added to a poke bowl.

Rare in the middle, toasted on the outside and utterly delicious.

Serves 1 as a generous main course, or 2 as a starter
