HAPPY EASTER!

The online order book has now closed for collections over the Easter Weekend, but we will still have lots of fish and shellfish available for you to come and select from our counters. We open at 8am each morning and we'll have good availability at the start of each day, but with many people visiting we will run out of things as the morning progresses. On Friday and Saturday we will be closing at 1pm

You can send a text to 07354 849465 to find out about availability, but please bear in mind it is going to be really busy in the shop so I will respond as soon as I can but it may be 'after hours'. 

If I don't see you over the weekend, I hope you have the most wonderful Easter, and remember, we will be closed on Tuesday 22nd due to Bank Holiday Monday.

Halibut are the largest fin fish in the world, growing to over 100kg. Sue Has been known to spend well over £1000 on a single halibut, but its worth it because when they're good, they are really, really good!

We are quite fussy when it comes to sourcing this fish, so won't have it available every day - Sue only buys it when it is 'spectacular'. Although it's not always available we'll do our very best to make sure we have some for your order. Throughout February to April Halibut supply can be a little challenging and prices can be at their peak, but the quality is always exceptional

Our preferred size is between 12 and 20kg, which gives lovely thick loins and fillets. A very popular fish with chefs, halibut has a firm meaty flesh and a delicate flavour. Classically poached or roasted and served with Hollandaise Sauce, it is quite a versatile fish, and requires very little preparation

Simply panfry the fillets in a little rapeseed oil, getting a nice crispy skin. Turn and cook for a minute or two on the other side to add a little colour. Serve with a simple hollandaise sauce, buttery baby potatoes and asparagus

Allow 200g per person for a generous portion
