Easter 2025

HAPPY EASTER!

The online order book has now closed for collections over the Easter Weekend, but we will still have lots of fish and shellfish available for you to come and select from our counters. We open at 8am each morning and we'll have good availability at the start of each day, but with many people visiting we will run out of things as the morning progresses. On Friday and Saturday we will be closing at 1pm

You can send a text to 07354 849465 to find out about availability, but please bear in mind it is going to be really busy in the shop so I will respond as soon as I can but it may be 'after hours'.

If I don't see you over the weekend, I hope you have the most wonderful Easter, and remember, we will be closed on Tuesday 22nd due to Bank Holiday Monday.

You can't order this product online at the moment, but if you give us a call or send a text to 07354 849465 we'll be able to advise on availability

The season for Cornish Bluefin os now over. All being well there will be a new season from July 2025

We're going to be making the most of this catch and will be buying it whenever it becomes available. There is a small allocation of quota for Cornish vessels to land some of these stunning fish, but supply will be variable so it's best to get in touch by email info@passionateaboutfish.co.uk or text 07354 849465 and we can advise you on availability

A little information about this fishery...
For many years there was no tuna fishery in the UK, as stock levels were questionable. Over the last couple of years, the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs have confirmed that a Defra-funded CHART programme in England to catch, tag and release Bluefin tuna gathered data and evidence on the species and the UK has been given a quota under an international conservation agreement. It will be a very strictly managed and monitored and there is hope that with robust management, we will see more of these beautiful fish landed in the future

This is not sashimi grade, so you will need to cook it. Keep it really simple - drizzle a little oil on the fish, season and flash through a hot griddle pan
