Online ordering is now open for collection on or after 13th February. If you’re planning ahead for Valentine’s Day, please feel free to place your order online as normal.

For collections this week or before 13th February, I’m still asking customers to get in touch directly. With the ongoing variability in landings and prices, it’s the best way for me to make sure you get the very best fish available on the day.

Jigged Squid is back!! Some of the Cornish Fishermen are pulling in the most spectacular squid on hooks and its the best we see all year! Superbly fresh and utterly delicious, they really are a treat

Caught mainly around the South Coast, squid is hugely popular with our customers. The size of the fish varies dramatically from 200g to well over a kilo and we never quite know what size will be available. Our preferred size is 300-500g squid, but if that's not available we will take bigger or smaller to meet the demand of our customers

Depending on the size of squid available on the day, the number of squid may vary to achieve the weight ordered

Keep it simple.... dipping the squid rings in a little seasoned flour and then flashing through a hot pan drizzled with a good rapeseed oil is a great way to enjoy your squid. Serve with sweet chilli sauce or classic ali oli

Allow around 250-300g of whole squid per person as this will give you about 150g of edible meat. REMEMBER... if you ask for it to be cleaned, you will lose around 50% of the original weight.
