Fresh cockles are in season from June to September, and these little treats are caught, processed and frozen to last the year. The cockles we buy from Deal Bros, in Leigh on Sea are utterly delicious, plump and sweet.
No cooking required, simply defrost and serve with maybe a sprinkle of pepper and drizzle of vinegar
