Beautiful yellowfin tuna fillets, packed generously into a proper glass jar and preserved simply in olive oil. Open it and you’ll find big, pale, meaty flakes of tuna with a wonderfully firm texture and clean, rich flavour... a world away from an everyday tin.

Flott is a Sicilian producer with roots stretching back to the 1930s, specialising in the traditional preservation of Mediterranean seafood. And this rather magnificent 300g jar is made for sharing, although we certainly wouldn’t judge if it didn’t make it that far.

Pile it onto a good tomato salad, toss through warm potatoes and olives, fold into pasta, or simply serve with crusty bread, lemon and a little black pepper.
