We tried so hard to make our own taramasalata, but nothing we came up with compares to the utter deliciousness of Moxon’s!

This is proper taramasalata, a classic recipe, full of flavour and miles away from the bright pink stuff many of us grew up with. Moxon’s smoke their own cod roe before blending it with olive oil and other natural ingredients to create an amazingly scrummy, creamy taramasalata with a lovely depth of smoky flavour.

Perfect with warm pitta, crusty bread or simply a spoon when nobody’s looking.

Did you know… traditionally, taramasalata gets its flavour from cured fish roe. That familiar vivid pink colour isn’t actually necessary at all – the real thing is naturally much paler.
