A tiny tin with a HUGE flavour.

These little anchovy fillets are one of those ingredients we think every kitchen should have tucked away. Rich, salty and intensely savoury, they’re fabulous eaten just as they are - pile them onto crostini, add to antipasti, scatter over pizza or serve alongside olives with drinks.

But they’re also a bit of a secret weapon in the kitchen. Melt a couple gently into olive oil and they almost disappear, leaving behind an incredible depth of flavour without making the finished dish taste particularly ‘anchovy-ish’. Brilliant stirred through pasta sauces, tomato dishes and dressings, or mashed into butter to melt over fish or steak.

And because they come in a neat little 50g tin, there’s no enormous jar lurking in the fridge afterwards.
